2-Year System Warranty

Every computer built by Custom PC Pro includes a 2-Year System Warranty at no extra cost. This warranty applies to the original purchaser and covers the original components included in the build.

What Is Included

I only use new parts in every build, so all components come with their own manufacturer's warranty. If an original part fails within two (2) years due to normal use, here is what I do:

  • I handle the RMA process for you. I deal directly with the manufacturer to get the defective part covered and replaced. You don't have to navigate that process yourself.
  • I install the replacement at no charge. Once the replacement part arrives, I get your system back up and running.

If a part fails and the manufacturer doesn't cover it under their warranty, the cost of the replacement part would be yours. The labour to install it is still on me.

A note on timing: RMA turnaround times vary by manufacturer and are outside of my control. I'll keep you updated throughout the process, but I can't make any guarantees on how long a replacement takes to arrive.

Warranty Limitations

There are a few things this warranty doesn't cover:

  • Third-Party Work: This warranty only applies if your PC has been serviced exclusively by me. If another shop or technician works on it, or if you swap or modify any original components yourself, I won't be able to honour the warranty.
  • Non-Original Parts: Coverage applies to the original components in your build. Parts added or replaced after delivery aren't included.
  • Physical Damage: Damage from drops, spills, power surges, or similar incidents falls outside of what this warranty covers.
  • Software Issues: Problems stemming from viruses, Windows errors, or software conflicts aren't covered.
  • Data Loss: Please back up your files before dropping off your PC. I take care with every system, but I can't be responsible for personal data during a service.
  • Consequential Losses: I'm not able to be held responsible for lost income, missed deadlines, or other indirect losses tied to a hardware failure or your PC being out of service.

How to Get Service

All warranty service is done at my shop in Cornwall, Ontario. To get started:

  1. Reach out via my contact page and describe the issue.
  2. Once I confirm the problem, you can drop off your PC at my location.

If you're not local, you're responsible for shipping costs to and from my shop.
